I have always seen commercials for pore minimizing cleansers, and blogs on how to make your pores smaller, etc … But I never really thought my pores needed to be any smaller. Well that was until I created this scrub/mask that literally made my pores non existent. Non existent to the point where I didn’t realize how big my pores were until they were all gone, and I was like… wait, whaaaaaat? So I bring to you my super simple pore minimizing scrub recipe.
1 T. almond flour: an exfoliant rich in moisturizing emollients
1 t. jojoba oil: balances oil production in skin
1/2 t. turmeric: diminishes acne scars + wrinkles
1/2 t. lemon juice: contains natural enzymes that tighten your pores + tone your face.
That’s it, that’s all there is to it. If you don’t have almond flour, start by grinding up some almonds in your coffee grinder or blender until you get a flour consistency. Measure out 1 teaspoon of the almond flour and add in a teaspoon of jojoba, and 1/2 teaspoon each of turmeric and lemon juice. I mixed it together by hand in a small cup, just because it is such a small amount. When you are done mixing you will see that you get almost like a playdoh like substance, that is exactly what you are going for. Next take your little rubbery ball of jojoba and almond goodness and start to scrub your face with it ( your clean face!). Keep scrubbing with it for a couple minutes until your face takes on the orange color of the turmeric. Don’t worry, it all rinses off so you won’t look like an oompa loopa when you are done 🙂 Once you have reached the point of having an orange face, leave the mask on for 5 to 10 minutes, and then rinse off with warm water. Finish it off with a quick spray of jojoba oil and then just take a minute to sit with yourself and lap in the luxury of a pore free complexion. Enjoy 🙂
