Dry Face Mask 1

Dry Fae mask # 1: 1 Tbs Jojoba Oil, 2 Tbs raw honey, 1 mashed avocado.

Jojoba Oil: While jojoba oil can be used alone for dry skin because of its moisturizing, healing and anti microbial properties, it is a great addition to any dry skin remedy. It is transdermal which means it is easily absorbed into your skin, sending moisture deep into your pores. Dry skin has to do with the lack of lipids due to overuse of drying products. Jojoba oil mimics the sebum your skin naturally produces and is full of lipids to bring moisture and balance back to your skin. We organically grow, harvest, and press our jojoba seeds into a high quality USDA certified organic jojoba oil. Get yours here!

Raw Honey: Because honey is a natural humectant, it takes moisture from the air and delivers it directly into your skin. Not only that but it helps to preserve the moisture deep in your pores where it is most needed to have a long lasting hydration for your skin. Not only that but it is chock-full of nutrients and healing properties that will help any skin type.

Avocado: Avocados are rich in vitamins and provide healthy oils for your skin. Not only that but avocado contains amino acids, nutrients and antioxidants that will help in removing toxins from your skin. Sounds like a winner to me!

Dry Face Mask 2

Dry Face Mask # 2: 12 Mashed grapes, 1/4 Cup Cucumber Juice, 1/2 tsp Vitamin E

Grapes: Grapes are full of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties as well as vitamin C which is vital for healthy skin. The vitamin e found in grapes can be a great help in moisturizing and softening your skin.

Cucumbers: Cucumbers are high in both Vitamins A & C which are very important for dry skin care. They also contain high amounts of iron, potassium, magnesium and silica. It is the silica that has a special function for your skin. It is an essential component of your skins connective tissue – the fibers that keep our skin firm and give it body and shape! These nutrients, along with the fact that a cucumber is almost 90% water, makes it a great food for your dry skin!

Vitamin E: Vitamin E is an antioxidant, which neutralizes the oxidant effect of the free radicals responsible for damaging collagen and causing dry skin along with other issues.** Take note, vitamin e is amazing for dry skin, but it’s heavy, so if you are prone to break outs it might exacerbate an already existing blemish.**

Dry Face Mask 3

Dry Face Mask # 3: 2 Tbs raw honey, 1/4 Cup almond milk, 1 tbs ground coffee

Raw Honey: Because honey is a natural humectant, it takes moisture from the air and delivers it directly into your skin. Not only that but it helps to preserve the moisture deep in your pores where it is most needed to have a long lasting hydration for your skin. Not only that but it is chock-full of nutrients and healing properties that will help any skin type.

Almond Milk: Almond milk is an excellent source of vitamin E, and we all know how beneficial antioxidants like vitamin E are for dry skin! Not only that but it also contains vitamin B2, a riboflavin which aids in the production of Niacin. Niacin helps in hydrating the skin by trapping moisture in the cells, exactly what dry skin needs.

Coffee: Coffee grinds are a great addition to any dry skin face mask as they help exfoliate dry and dead skin cells, leaving you with smooth and flake free skin. Just what the doctor ordered come mid winter, am I right?
